The 5th Street Players is a student run organization designed to bring diversity, educational opportunities, and a professional environment to the students of East Carolina University. Works range from student written pieces and cabarets to full length published staged productions. We provide the professional experience for not only actors, but also our design, management, and direction teams. We celebrate the diverse and open minds our students bring and wish to share our journey with the Greenville community and surrounding areas.

This organization is to give the people that aren’t playing football anymore a chance to get that same feeling again. As people that have experienced not being able to play the sport you love, we know it hurts and one of the only ways to feel better is to play the sport. This organization will also let girls play with the boys and girls will even have their own season if there’s enough girls for them to. We want to have a positive community around us and for all of us to respect each other because we love the game of football. We don’t care about the sex of the players… if you want to play football you’re welcome to sign up!

The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African American men, was founded on December 4, 1906, at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and is headquartered in Baltimore, MD. The Fraternity has long stood at the forefront of the African American community’s fight for civil rights through Alpha men such as Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; late former Congressman Adam Clayton Powell; late former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall; legendary activist, actor and performer, Paul Robeson, former Ambassador Andrew Young; late former Senator Edward Brooke; scholar, Cornel West; Senator Raphael Warnock; Congressman Steven Horsford, chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus; General CQ Brown, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; six other members of the U.S. Congress, numerous state, and local lawmakers across the United States, as well as President of Liberia Joseph Boakai, Sr. The fraternity, through its more than 720 college and alumni chapters and general-organization members, serves communities in the United States, and other parts of North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
