AMEXCAN at ECU is a club established in 2017 to promote Latino inclusivity on and off campus through social and volunteer opportunities. AMEXCAN at ECU hosts general body meetings every other Wednesday at 6 pm.

These meetings have proved essential because numerous Latino students got to know one another and gather a sense of belonging on campus. Interestingly enough, many Latino students joined AMEXCAN at ECU to learn more about their culture, such as the food, music, dancing style, language, and traditions, because they did not have access to those experiences growing up. So, they sought those experiences from club members who have.

Dance Xtensions is a dance and choreography-based club for undergraduate and graduate students of all majors who wish to extend their love of dance into their college years. Through weekly classes building up to a showcase each school year, Dance Xtensions is open to dancers of all levels ranging from beginner to advanced, and of all styles such as tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, musical theater, modern, and hip hop. Dancers will be allowed to choose as many or as few styles they would like to participate in. All dances will be student choreographed and members who wish to choreograph will have the opportunity. Dance Xtensions hopes to provide a performance opportunity to any dancer on campus so that they can extend their love of dancing and performing into college.

Must be an Undergraduate student at ECU 2A. Must have at least 30 semester hours with at least a 3.2 GPA 2B. Must have 15-29 semester hours with at least a 3.5 GPA 3. Must have one semester to go through the Initiation Program and 2 to serve as a member (3 in total). If you meet your basic requirements, we will invite you out to our Informational Meetings and Rush Events in which you may receive a bid to join our Initiation Program.
