The 2025 Tar River Community Science Festival (our 4th year!) will include fun, hands-on science education activities and demonstrations, fishing, kayaking, paddle boating, a boat ride on the Tar River, face-painting, food trucks, guest speakers, tables of many local organizations, live bands, dancers, games, and much more! The goal of this family-friendly event is to build awareness around water issues in our region and build community-based solutions. This may be the last Tar River festival hosted by ECU Water Resources Center. Don't miss the opportunity to participate, learn about your community, have fun engaging with community members, and earn service hours!
