Connect with First Year Cares!

The First Year Cares initiative connects incoming first year students with resources and services based on survey data and predictive analytics. Using intentional outreach, programming, and connection opportunities, we make the transition to ECU as smooth as possible.

Tezra Egleton and Rose Bogue, retention specialists with First Year Cares, will be tabling outside of Mendenhall on the first and second days of class - come meet us! Any time you face a challenge that affects your ability to thrive at ECU, you are invited to book a meeting with us to work it out. Our retention specialists are experts at all things ECU and will provide supportive advice, resources, and referrals. Our primary role is helping first-year students, but all are welcome to utilize our services!

Our table will have lots of free swag, ice pops for the heat, and friendly faces! You will also be invited to pop into Mendenhall to check out the Center for Student Success student lounge.
