Foster Care Experiences Meetup

You don't have to navigate college alone!

Make friends, meet supportive staff members, participate in fun activities, and learn about what the Student Affairs department offers for students who could use additional support throughout their college journey.

This is a time for students who are currently or have previously engaged with the child welfare system and experienced foster care, guardianship/kinship care, or have unaccompanied minor status, to come together to discuss the bright future you are crafting at college. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to come socialize, though information will be geared toward those with limited family support.

4pm-4:30pm: Meet the Cohort - Networking, Refreshments, Music, Games
4:30pm-5:30pm: Student & Staff Experience Panel - Hear from ECU students and staff members who were themselves foster youth
5:30pm-6pm: Resource Fair and Future Planning - Meet key campus partners and share your ideas about what current/former foster youth need to thrive at ECU
